BICA

It owes its name to Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, a central road with a very steep incline, from which small sidewalks, alleys and stairs emerge, which are well worth exploring on foot.

In the center, a yellow tram, the famous Ascensor da Bica. The buildings along the street include houses, restaurants, bars and secret courtyards, which are especially made known in June, the time of Santos Populares, when the city celebrates in the streets.

BAIRRO ALTO

Bairro Alto is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon.

Its topography of narrow streets is more than 500 years old and is a unique example in the city. In the 1980s, it gained the epithet of a nightlife area.
By day, it remains a neighborhood of traditions, with open windows and door-to-door conversations, vintage stores, grocery stores and some good Portuguese taverns.

CHIADO

It is one of the most chic neighborhoods in Lisbon. With one foot in history and the other in cosmopolitan life, it has been the scene, over the last few centuries, of great episodes of the city's intellectual and bohemian life.

At the end of the 1990s, after a major fire, Armazéns do Chiado opened and the area gained a new aura of a shopping district, with several pedestrian streets, new restaurants and terraces.
